Oh Dear Helen, we miss you more than you could ever know. I appreciated your friendship and your willingness to live out your faith before all you met. Your infectious smile and your resilient spirit brings to mind some of your favorite gospel songs that you lived out before us day by day, songs such as: Lord I'm Available, Jesus You Are, God Is, I Just Want to Praise You, Awesome Wonder, Live In Me Jesus, I Need You To Survive, My Life, My Love, My All, just to name a few.

From Liberty Baptist to Fountain of Faith you have never wavered in your commitment to the Lord. You lived for His glory and served others on His behalf. Every life you touched is better for it. God developed you to live up to your name. Helen Babb: Helen: Greek origin, "Bright One"; Hebrew origin is Zahara, meaning "Light or Brilliance; Latin origin, "Most beautiful woman in the world." Your inner beauty enhanced your outer beauty tenfold. Your last name Babb, which is a variant of Barbara, in Latin means "Shining with Fame." When you allow the Lord to write the rest of your story, from that point forward everyone could see His glory shine from your lifestyle of worship. Thanks for showing FOFBC what it means to live out our theme for 2014: "Wired 4 Worship and Created in Christ Jesus 4 Good Works." Ephesians 2:10

Your Grateful Pastor,
Rev. Mark A. Cain

Rev. Cain, such wonderful comments about Helen! You brought me to tears! Helen touched a lot of lives with her infectious smile and personality. God let us borrow her for a while and in that time, she did what He intended, touched many lives in a positive way leading them towards Him!

When I think of Helen, Romans 12:1 always come to my mind to describe her beautiful willing spirit, unselfish & dedicated service to use her God-given gift of singing to the Glory of God. Truly she "presented her body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which was her reasonable service" - but, Helen always gave even more! Jesse & I will miss you (& your teacakes) dearly.

Helen was more than a friend, she was my sister, my concert buddy and the alto whisper in my ear. At rehearsal and during the services we sang she would always "keep me in tune". Sometimes she would call my brother (Gregory) to find music she heard. NeeNee she would say, find this song for me. Last night at rehearsal I was praying for her voice to come into my spirit as I struggle with that note. I know she is at peace, singing in the Heavenly choir. Keep whispering in my ear Miss Helen

Sister Babb was a great inspiration to me and my family. She was always smiling with a very open and approachable disposition. She would often ask me "how you doing, how's your wife and my girls plus my boys?" Then should would say, "Tell them girls I want them to sing an inspirational song on the 1st Sunday." Also I can remember her asking, "What are you doing on Saturday, I need you to move me to my new apartment!" It's funny when I think about during the move some of her prized CD's flew off the truck and into traffic. We held up traffic that day just to pick up her CD's. When I told her what happened, she did not even get upset. She simply said she can make some new ones. One time my son and I picked up a 50 gallon fish tank and delivered it to her home. It was very heavy but it was for Sister Babb.

After I made it to be a Deacon, Sister Babb use to love to sneak up on me and say "Hey, DEACON!" We laughed about it every time. She was very special to me and my family. Her laughter, compassion, spirit and love for both my family and our church family will always resonate in our hearts forever.

Helen was someone that left a lasting impact on anyone she met. As I have said before she was my friend and I know it w/o a doubt.
Her Christian walk was what we should all strive to possess for God's Kingdom. I know when she met our Father he greeted her with "WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT" come on in I have this mansion waiting for you.

I miss you Sister Babb, you were the light of the church, you kept everything lifted up. Just to hear your sweet voice each Sunday that you sang was an inspiration. I loved to hear you sing, lovely, lovely voice. I sure do miss hearing you. I miss you.

Sis Helen was a precious jewel that I will treasure forever. She will be miss by so many that she encounter but NEVER EVER forgotten. What I will miss most about Sis Helen would be her sweet character, that beautiful voice and her bright smile that light up the room.
